Davao City: Hari Royale Suites

There are many reasons why Davao was a rich experience for me. ?It was my first time in Mindanao. ?It was my first time to celebrate my birthday away from home. ?It was the first time Neil and I flew out without friends or colleagues. ?But what made the trip quite enjoyable was because of the lovely hotel we stayed at.

I’d describe the?Hari Royale Suites like finding a fluffy pillow to rest on in the middle of urban Davao. ?Having opened in 2009, the hotel has a very contemporary feel compared to a nearby accommodation we also checked out.

Compared to other domestic hotels I’ve experienced (like the plastic front doors of La Elliana in Laoag), Hari Royale Suites stands out. ?Fresh, new, and modern.

Since we were there in July we got serious discounts from the published rate. ?There were no festivals or crowds. ?The only other occasion aside from my birthday was the World Cup finals between Spain and the Netherlands. ?We enjoyed watching the games live on Studio 23 from Davao.

Our travel tradition of Dunkin’ Donuts and tasty local chips.

Another plus factor for Hari Royale Suites is the location of a local Thai massage franchise on the 2nd floor. ?Tam Ton on the 2nd floor meant that you could get your massage and just take the elevator to your floor without hassle. ?No need to go out onto the streets.

The room we got was a standard double. ?We picked this room because we wanted a window facing the main road and not the barangay.

The bed sheets (and the pillows) felt so new. ?Even Whitney enjoyed the bed.

The interiors are designed simple. ?No campy details which other hotels usually have.

Love how simple it is

Everything naturally feels new

There wasn’t any in-house wi-fi when we were there. ?But they do offer broadband internet through ethernet cable for Php 100.00 a day. ?Since we got the rooms at a great discount it was no frills to add a hundred pesos.

I recommend Hari Royale Suites. ?We had a wonderful experience there. ?The price (off-peak), the ambiance, the service, and the rooms were great. ?I hope other people who checked into this hotel got to share this good experience too.

(I’ll search for a link to their website)

Thanks for the rewview. It’s the only review of this hotel I could find. You would think that a Hotel that nice and reasonable, offers wifi would join the 21st century and have a website. I have a wedding to attend in Davao March 1st and plan on staying there for 3 days. My nephew the groom picked this place too and I think most of the family will try to stay there.

That’s so true! A nice hotel but NO website! It’s shocking. I loved the place. It made my Davao trip very pleasant. I hope it’s still good. :)
